The invention provides a novel reinforced gabion retaining wall structure which is characterized in that a retaining wall is arranged in a foundation in a protective operation area, a reinforced gabion is arranged in the retaining wall, and a sealing layer is arranged on the surface of the side end of the reinforced gabion; the steel bar gabions comprise steel bar lattices with openings, the multiple steel bar lattices are stacked layer by layer to the retaining wall elevation, and the steel bar lattices are filled with block stones through the openings. A grouting filling part is arranged in the steel bar gabion, and the steel bar gabion and the block stone are connected into a whole through the grouting filling part. The prefabrication of the reinforcement gabions and the convenience of concrete spraying are used for replacing formwork erecting and concrete pouring, the reinforcement meshes of the reinforcement gabions form the reinforcement meshes in the retaining wall after grouting, and the overall performance of the retaining wall is improved.
