The water permeable brick comprises the following preparation raw materials in parts by weight: 75-85 parts of copper tailings with the particle size of 5-10 meshes, 15-25 parts of copper tailings with the particle size of less than 200 meshes and 14-16 parts of a binder. According to the water permeable brick, the utilization rate of the copper tailings is increased, solid waste resource utilization is achieved, and the water permeable brick has the high mechanical property and the high water permeability coefficient. The preparation method of the water permeable brick is low in required clay content, simple in preparation process, low in cost and easy for industrial mass production.
