The invention provides a cement-bonding-free silicon carbide ceramic as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The cement-bonding-free silicon carbide ceramic is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 3-6 parts of silica-alumina sol; 60-80 parts by weight of silicon carbide particles; 6-12 parts by weight of silicon carbide micro powder; 8-12 parts by weight of silica powder; 10-15 parts by weight of alumina micro powder; 1-3 parts by weight of carbon black; 0.5-1 part by weight of dispersed aluminum oxide; 0.1 to 0.5 part by weight of explosion-proof fiber; 0.1-0.5 part by weight of a dispersing water reducing agent; and 4-8 parts by weight of water. Compared with the prior art, the cement-bonding-free silicon carbide ceramic provided by the invention adopts specific components with specific contents to realize relatively good overall interaction, and the obtained cement-bonding-free silicon carbide ceramic can keep excellent high-temperature performance at 1500 DEG C and is suitable for being applied to combustors.
