The invention provides a refractory material and a preparation method and application thereof.The refractory material is prepared from a silicon carbide material, graphite, zirconite and a binding agent, and the silicon carbide material comprises first silicon carbide particles, second silicon carbide particles and third silicon carbide particles; the particle size of the first silicon carbide particles is larger than that of the second silicon carbide particles and larger than that of the third silicon carbide particles. The refractory material provided by the invention has excellent corrosion resistance, can specifically solve the problem that hydrogen fluoride and fluorine ions seriously corrode the inner wall of a heat treatment kiln in the process of recovering a lithium battery crushed material by adopting dry heat treatment, prolongs the service life of the kiln, and improves the corrosion resistance of a lining of the kiln.
