The invention discloses a safety belt hanging device used for high-altitude erection operation of an external scaffolding, the external scaffolding comprises a vertical steel pipe, the safety belt hanging device comprises a limiting piece, the limiting piece is arranged on the vertical steel pipe in a sleeving mode and can move up and down, and a plurality of inclined sliding grooves distributed in the circumferential direction of the vertical steel pipe are formed in the limiting piece; the lower end of the sliding groove inclines towards the vertical steel pipe and is an open end, and an opening facing the outer side of the limiting piece is formed in the top of the sliding groove.
