The invention discloses a reciprocating type forming grinding method, a steel rail grinding device and a steel rail grinding wagon. The length direction of a steel rail is defined as the X direction, the width direction of the steel rail is defined as the Y direction, and the height direction of the steel rail is defined as the Z. According to the method, a plurality of grinding stones are distributed in an array mode in the length direction of the steel rail; and the millstone which is pressurized by the pressurizing mechanism reciprocates on the surface of the steel rail along the X direction. According to the method, the steel rail is polished through the reciprocating linear motion of the millstone, and the motion trail of the millstone is parallel to the steel rail, so that the surface of the steel rail can be effectively removed, and undulatory wear of the steel rail is eliminated; meanwhile, the method has natural advantages on the corrugation phenomenon, does not generate corrugation while removing materials, can effectively remove short wave and medium wave corrugation abrasion, and is a unique operation mode capable of effectively removing long waves.
