The invention discloses a steel slag sensible heat recovery and carbon sequestration modification process, which comprises the following steps that a steel slag melt is subjected to ingot casting through an ingot casting device, a cast high-temperature steel slag ingot shell is in a solid state, and an inner core is in a liquid state; the steel slag ingot enters the vertical reactor from a feeding hole in the upper part of the vertical reactor, meanwhile, metallurgical flue gas is introduced from a gas inlet pipeline at the bottom of the vertical reactor, the metallurgical flue gas exchanges heat with the high-temperature steel slag ingot in the flowing process to form high-temperature flue gas, and meanwhile, the high-temperature steel slag ingot reacts with CO2 in the flue gas to form CO2 in the high-temperature flue gas; carrying out carbon sequestration modification on the steel slag ingot to form a carbon sequestration modified steel slag block, and discharging high-temperature flue gas through a pipeline at the top of the vertical reactor; s3, the dedusted high-temperature flue gas enters a heat exchanger for heat exchange, and the flue gas is discharged from a chimney after heat exchange; the carbon sequestration modified steel slag blocks are crushed, separated and then graded for utilization, and high-added-value steel slag products are prepared. And steel slag sensible heat recovery and steel slag carbon sequestration can be performed simultaneously.
