The invention relates to a top-down wall construction method, which relates to the field of top-down method construction, and comprises the following steps of: excavating a region with a preset width on the inner side of a construction structure to the bottom surface elevation of a lower guide wall, and excavating other regions to the bottom surface elevation of a support beam; binding an upper guide wall steel bar group, a ring beam steel bar group, a lower guide wall steel bar group and a support beam steel bar group, and connecting a connector to the lower end of the lower guide wall steel bar group; the upper guide wall formwork, the ring beam formwork, the lower guide wall formwork and the supporting beam formwork are fixed, soil is backfilled to the outer side of the lower guide wall formwork in the area with the preset width on the inner side of the construction structure, and the backfilled soil forms a slope at the lower end of a bottom formwork of the lower guide wall formwork; and the upper guide wall, the ring beam, the lower guide wall and the supporting beam are poured. A connector is embedded in the lower guide wall and connected with a side wall reinforcing steel bar set below, and the ring beam is stably connected with the side wall below. Pre-burying of the connectors is convenient to implement, materials are saved, the construction period is shortened, slopes are convenient to remove, and side walls are convenient to construct. A long lower guide wall is arranged on the lower portion of the ring beam, and the clearance of the working space on the top of the side wall is extended.
