The invention discloses a preparation method of orthopaedic silicon nitride ceramic, raw materials comprise silicon nitride, a sintering aid and a second reinforcement phase, and the method specifically comprises the following steps: mixing the sintering aid and the second reinforcement phase with silicon nitride to obtain mixed powder; mixing the mixed powder with resin to obtain ceramic slurry; and carrying out light curing, low-temperature degreasing and high-temperature sintering on the ceramic slurry to obtain the orthopaedic silicon nitride ceramic. According to the method, a sintering aid containing one or more of Y2O3, MgO, Al2O3, Yb2O3, Nd2O3, Eu2O3, La2O3, Sm2O3 and CeO and a second reinforcing phase are creatively introduced into silicon nitride, a reinforcing body which is reinforced in a point, line and plane three-dimensional manner is formed through a preparation process including light curing, low-temperature degreasing and high-temperature sintering, silicon nitride crystal grains are promoted to be subjected to complete phase change, long-column-shaped beta-Si3N4 is generated, and the high-performance silicon nitride is obtained. And the silicon nitride ceramic with remarkably improved fracture toughness is obtained.
