The invention belongs to the field of building materials, and particularly relates to a steel skeleton composite foam concrete block and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method of the concrete block comprises the following steps: (1) uniformly mixing cement, fly ash and a water repellent, then adding water, nano silicon dioxide and calcium carbonate whiskers, and uniformly mixing to obtain concrete slurry; (2) carrying out modification treatment on foaming mother liquor by using a modifier to obtain modified foaming mother liquor, preparing foam by using the modified foaming mother liquor, and mixing the foam with the concrete slurry to prepare foam concrete slurry; and (3) injecting the foam concrete slurry into a forming mold with a steel skeleton, and carrying out pre-curing, demolding and standard curing to obtain the steel skeleton composite foam concrete block. Compared with a common concrete block in the prior art, the foam concrete block has the advantages that the mechanical property and the thermal insulation property are improved, the waterproof property is enhanced, and the application range is wider.
