The invention relates to the technical field of equipment installation, and provides an equipment support and embedded part positioning template and a positioning method.The positioning template comprises a positioning template body, and square holes in one-to-one correspondence with equipment supports and embedded parts are formed in the positioning template body; the square holes vertically penetrate through the positioning template body and are evenly distributed in the circumferential direction of the positioning template body, three adjusting plates fixed to the surface of the positioning template body are arranged on the circumferential sides of at least part of the square holes, jackscrews are connected to the adjusting plates in a threaded mode, and the jackscrews are used for making contact with the side faces, penetrating through the corresponding square holes, of equipment supports and adjusting the position of the positioning template body. The square hole corresponding to the position of the embedded part is formed in the positioning template main body, so that the positioning template main body and the equipment support are preassembled, and the equipment support is subjected to finish machining by measuring the gap between the square hole of the positioning template main body and the equipment support, so that the equipment support can correspond to the embedded part and is fixedly connected with the embedded part; therefore, the embedded part and the equipment support do not need to be preassembled in a factory.
