The long-life tundish cover castable is prepared from the following raw material components in percentage by mass: 5 to 7 percent of 15 to 8 mm alumina, 12 to 14 percent of 8 to 5 mm alumina, 12 to 14 percent of 5 to 3 mm alumina, 22 to 24 percent of 3 to 1 mm alumina, 8 to 10 percent of 1 to 0 mm alumina, 13 to 15 percent of 200-mesh alumina, 1 to 2 percent of mullite, 3.5 to 4.5 percent of kyanite, 1.5 to 2.5 percent of silicon carbide, 0.2 to 0.3 percent of silicon iron powder, 3 to 4 percent of composite binding agent, 0.6 to 0.8 percent of calcium silicate and 0.1 to 0.5 percent of alumina silicate fiber. The invention discloses a long-service-life tundish cover castable which comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 0.2% of waste fused bricks, 0.5-0.7% of aluminum oxide micro powder, 0.08-0.1% of sodium tripolyphosphate, 2.5-3% of silica fume, 0.02-0.03% of organic fibers, 1% of steel fibers and 3-4% of high-alumina cement. Compared with a traditional process, the overall performance of the tundish cover castable is remarkably improved, and the long-service-life tundish cover castable is more suitable for being used in a high-temperature environment; the breaking strength and the compression strength of the castable are effectively enhanced, the service life of the castable is prolonged, and meanwhile, the dual values of environmental protection and economic benefits are realized.
