The invention discloses a tailing pond vertical shaft with a water level monitoring function. The tailing pond vertical shaft comprises a well base, a derrick fixedly connected to the well base and an arch plate installed on the derrick. The derrick comprises a plurality of stand columns and a plurality of ring beams used for being fixedly connected with the stand columns. The outer side of one stand column is fixedly connected with a vertically-arranged guide rail, and the outer side of the guide rail is provided with a graduated scale. An adjustable sliding block is fixedly connected to the guide rail, a support rod is fixedly connected to the sliding block, a water level gauge is fixedly connected to the support rod, the water level gauge is provided with a water level probe, and the water level probe vertically extends downwards. Compared with the prior art, the water level measuring device has the advantages that a worker can directly observe and record the specific height change condition of the water level from the ground without additional tools due to the design of the graduated scale on the guide rail, real-time and visual reading of water level data is achieved, and response measures can be conveniently taken in time.
