The invention relates to a drive device for a leaf of a window or a flap, comprising at least one drive for moving the leaf relative to a fixed chamber frame by means of a flexible pulling and pushing element, the drive comprising a connecting line connected to the drive for supplying and/or actuating the drive; the invention relates to a drive device for a motor vehicle, comprising a drive and having a fastening structure, in particular a carrier, for fastening the drive to a leaf or a chamber frame, an electrical connection mechanism separate from the drive being arranged on the fastening structure, the electrical connection mechanism comprising a supply interface for electrically connecting the connection mechanism to a power source and/or a control unit, the electrical connection mechanism is provided with a driving interface which is electrically connected with the supply interface, and the driver is electrically connected with the connection mechanism through the driving interface via a connection wire of the driver.
