TATAMI MAT FOLDING DEVICE AND TATAMI MAT FOLDING METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING BORDERLESS TATAMI
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tatami mat folding device for manufacturing a borderless tatami in which the folding with good finish is performed without causing cracks or hangnails in rush, even if using a natural tatami mat or an artificially manufactured tatami mat made of resin or Japanese paper.SOLUTION: A tatami mat folding device comprises: a table for holding a tatami mat A and mounting the tatami mat; a folding unit comprising a pressing plate 6 and a holding block 7; a turning center provided in the vicinity of the tip of the tatami mat pressing plate; heating control means provided with a heater in at least one hand of the pressing plate and the holding block, and heating it in a predetermined temperature; and turning guide 10 means for turning and moving the folding unit. When folding the tatami mat, the tatami mat is folded by turning and moving the folding unit while heating both sides of the tatami mat together by the heated pressing plate and holding block.
【課題】天然の畳表や人工的に製造した樹脂性や和紙製の畳表であっても藺草に割れ、ささくれを発生させずに仕上がりの良い折り曲げを行う縁無し畳製造用畳表折り曲げ装置を提供する。【解決手段】畳表Ａを狭持して、畳表を載置するテーブルと、押さえ板６と狭持ブロック７とからなる折り曲げユニットと、畳表押さえ板の先端付近に設けられた旋回中心と、押さえ板と狭持ブロックの少なくとも一方にヒーターを設けて所定温度に加熱する加熱制御手段と、折り曲げユニットを旋回移動させる旋回ガイド１０手段とを有し、畳表を折り曲げる際に、加熱された押さえ板と狭持ブロックによって畳表の両面ともに加熱しながら折り曲げユニットを旋回移動させることにより畳表を折り曲げる。【選択図】図６
