TATAMI AND PLACING TATAMI USING THE TATAMI
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tatami to be uniformly bended at an adhesive portion with no requirement of any complex operation such as using heat and/or steam.SOLUTION: A tatami 1 is machine-woven using a warp 2 with twisted yarns and a weft 3 with tubular fabricate yarns. The tatami 1 comprises: a center main body 5 located on a rectangular plate tatami base 4 to cover its surface; an adhesive edge 6 on the weft side extending to both sides of the main body 5 in a direction of the weft 3 from the main body 5, each of which is attached with at least either of a side surface 4r or another opposite side surface 4r of the tatami base 4 for the tatami; and an adhesive edge 7 on the warp side extending to both sides of the main body 5 in a direction of the warp 2 from the main body 5, each of which is attached with at least either of a side surface 4s or another opposite side surface 4s of the tatami base 4. A boundary portion K at the main body 5 with the adhesive side 6 is a width H equal to a thickness T of the tatami base 4 or the width H more than that in which no warp 2 is machine-woven.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】熱や蒸気を使用するというような煩雑な作業を必要とせず、接着部分の折り曲げを均一に行うことが出来る畳表を提供する。【解決手段】経糸2が撚糸、緯糸3が筒状抄繊糸で機織された畳表1である。畳表1は、矩形板状の畳床4上に敷設されてその表面を覆う中央の本体部分5と、本体部分5から緯糸3方向に伸びて本体部分5の両側に延出され、少なくとも畳床4の一方の側面4r及びその反対側の側面4rにそれぞれ接着される緯糸側接着辺6と、本体部分5から経糸2方向に伸びて本体部分5の両側に延出され、少なくとも畳床4の他方の側面4s及びその反対側の側面4sにそれぞれ接着される経糸側接着辺7とで構成される。緯糸側接着辺6の本体部分5との境界部分Kが、畳床4の厚みTに等しい幅H、或いはそれ以上の幅Hで経糸2が機織されていない。【選択図】図1
