PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail coping and a lighting unit, excellent in workability.SOLUTION: A handrail coping comprises a coping material 2 having longitudinally insertably a downward opening cutout part and a lighting unit 3 fixed in the cutout part, and is constituted by arranging and holding a light source unit 4 and an electric power supply cable 5 in the width direction. A lighting unit forms illumination by being fixed to the coping material 2, and comprises the light source unit 4 formed by mounting a light-emitting element at a predetermined pitch on a printed circuit board, the electric power supply cable 5 electrically connected to the printed circuit board and a case 7 fixed to the coping material 2, and the lighting unit 3 is constituted by arranging and holding the light source unit 4 and the electric power supply cable 5 in the width direction of the inside.
【課題】施工性に優れた手摺笠木や照明ユニットを提供する。【解決手段】下方に開放する切欠部を長手通しに備えた笠木材２と、前記切欠部内に固定される照明ユニット３とを有し、前記照明ユニット３により、光源ユニット４と給電用ケーブル５を幅方向に配置、保持して手摺笠木を構成する。また、笠木材２に固定して照明を形成する照明ユニットであって、プリント基板に所定ピッチで発光素子を実装して形成される光源ユニット４と、前記プリント基板に電気的に接続される給電用ケーブル５と、前記笠木材２に固定されるケース７とを有し、前記ケース７により、内部の幅方向に光源ユニット４と給電用ケーブル５を配置、保持して照明ユニット３を構成する。【選択図】図１
