COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE, ON-VEHICLE UNIT, PORTABLE UNIT AND COMPUTER PROGRAM
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system for a vehicle can suppress the increase of the number of man-hours needed for adjustment and allow the position of the portable unit to be detected accurately regardless of whether the portable unit is in a vicinity of a boundary surface between inside and outside of the vehicle.SOLUTION: A communication system for a vehicle includes an on-vehicle unit 1 for transmitting signals from a plurality of transmission antennas (3) installed on a vehicle C, and a portable unit 2 for receiving the signals transmitted by the on-vehicle unit 1 and transmitting a response signal suited for the received signals. The portable unit 2 measures received signal intensity of the signals that are transmitted by each of the plurality of transmission antennas (3), and transmits a response signal that includes the received signal intensity of each signal. The on-vehicle unit 1 receives the response signal transmitted by the portable unit 2 and determines whether the portable unit 2 is within each of a plurality of differing areas that encloses a common vehicle interior space, for each area based on the received signal intensity contained in the response signal. Then, the on-vehicle unit 1 determines whether the portable unit 2 exists inside all of the areas.
【課題】各種調整に要する工数の増大を抑えることができ、携帯機が車室内外境界面近傍にあるかどうかに拘わらず精度良く携帯機の位置判定を行うことが可能な車両用通信ステムを提供する。【解決手段】車両用通信システムは、車両Cに設けられた複数の送信アンテナ(3)から信号を送信する車載機1と、該車載機1から送信された信号を受信し、受信した信号に応じた応答信号を送信する携帯機2とを備える。携帯機2は、複数の送信アンテナ(3)からそれぞれ送信された信号の受信信号強度を測定し、各信号の受信信号強度を含む応答信号を送信する。車載機1は、携帯機2から送信された応答信号を受信し、応答信号に含まれる受信信号強度に基づいて、携帯機2が、共通の車室内空間を包含する相異なる複数の領域それぞれの内側にあるか否かを領域毎に判定する。そして、車載機1は携帯機2が全領域の内側にあるか否かを判定する。【選択図】図1
