INSTALLATION METHOD FOR SEISMIC ISOLATOR
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation method for two or more seismic isolators of different types, without generating a harmful deformation between a superstructure and a substructure that could damage the superstructure.SOLUTION: An installation method for a seismic isolator includes the following steps for: disconnecting an existing structure into a superstructure and a substructure, while supporting the superstructure with a plurality of support members; installing two or more seismic isolators on the substructure; forming a gap between one or more seismic isolators and the substructure, in accordance with a vertical displacement amount assumed for each of the seismic isolators when a load of the superstructure is exerted on each of the seismic isolators; and shifting the load of the superstructure exerted on the plurality of support members to the two or more seismic isolators, and removing the plurality of support members.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
