SEISMIC ISOLATOR INSTALLATION METHOD
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic isolator installation method capable of suppressing change of positional relationship between an upper part and a lower part of a columnar body.SOLUTION: A seismic isolator installation method includes: a restraint step to fix a restraint device to an upper part and a lower part of a columnar body, which are located above and below an installation position where a seismic isolator is installed, respectively, in order to restrain the upper part and the lower part in a horizontal direction; a removal step to remove the section of the installation position of the columnar body; and an installation step to install the seismic isolator at the installation position of the columnar body. The restraint device comprises: an upper fixture, which is fixed to the upper part; a lower fixture, which is fixed to the lower part; and a jack disposed between the upper fixture and the lower fixture. In the removal step, the section of the installation position of the columnar body is removed after moving the load on an existing building from the columnar body to the jack by operating the jack.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
