BONDING DEVICE AND BONDING METHOD OF SUBSTRATE, AND IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bonding device and a bonding method of a substrate, capable of easily arranging pressing means on a non-bonding surface of a second substrate when a first substrate and the second substrate are bonded to each other, and an image display device.SOLUTION: A bonding device 10 comprises: bending means 24 for bending a bonding surface of a liquid crystal panel 106 in a projecting shape with respect to a window glass 102 by bending the liquid crystal panel 106 with a biasing force; a roller 16 which presses one end of the liquid crystal panel 106 toward the window glass 102 against the biasing force of the bending means 24, moves from the one end toward the other end opposite the one end to thereby flatten the curve of the liquid crystal panel 106 present in a moving direction against the biasing force, and simultaneously bonds to the window glass 102 a surface of the liquid crystal panel 106 from the one end to the other end sequentially; and a support part 18 which supports the roller 16, and is attached to the window glass 102 in a non-contact state by a negative pressure generated by blowing a gas to the window glass 102 from a non-contact chuck 54.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
【課題】第1の基板と第2の基板とを貼合する際に、第2の基板の非貼合面に押圧手段を容易に配置することできる基板の貼合装置及び貼合方法並びに画像表示装置を提供する。【解決手段】貼合装置10は、液晶パネル106を付勢力によって湾曲させることにより、液晶パネル106の貼合面を窓ガラス102に対して凸状に湾曲させる湾曲手段24と、湾曲手段24の付勢力に抗して液晶パネル106の一端を窓ガラス102に向けて押圧し、一端から一端に対向する他端に向けて移動されることにより、移動方向に存在する液晶パネル106の湾曲を付勢力に抗して平坦に矯正させながら、液晶パネル106の貼合面の一端から他端に向けて窓ガラス102に順次貼合するローラ16と、ローラ16を支持し、かつ窓ガラス102に非接触チャック54から気体を吹き付けることにより発生する負圧により非接触状態で窓ガラス102に取り付けられた支持部18と、を備えている。【選択図】図5
