PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable machine, a communication apparatus, and a communication system having a high crime prevention characteristic by determining whether or not a relay attack is being performed.SOLUTION: A communication system 100 comprises: a communication apparatus 20 provided in a vehicle 1; and a portable machine 10 for communicating with the communication apparatus. The communication apparatus 20 comprises: a vehicle transmission unit 22 that has one or more transmission antennas and transmits a plurality of first signals to the portable machine; and a vehicle reception unit 21 for receiving a second signal from the portable machine. The portable machine 10 comprises: a portable machine reception unit 11 for receiving the plurality of first signals from the vehicle transmission unit; a portable machine control unit 15 for detecting signal strength of the plurality of first signals received by the portable machine reception unit to compare the signal strength of the plurality of first signals; and a portable machine transmission unit 12 that is controlled by the portable machine control unit and transmits the second signal to the vehicle reception unit. The portable machine control unit 15 sets an output value of the second signal to a predetermined value when difference between the compared signal strength of the plurality of first signals is equal to or smaller than a threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
