PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively develop a high earthquake resistance even in a high-aspect-ratio building built on a narrow land or the like.SOLUTION: A building 1 includes a substructure 10 constructed in a ground, a superstructure 20 provided above the substructure 10, a through wall column 30 having an upper end 30t fixed to a horizontal member of the superstructure 20, and an intermediate turnably connected to the substructure 10 or to the lower part of the superstructure 20, a supporting base 32 provided on the lateral side of the through wall column 30, and a buffer member 34 provided between a lower end 30b of the through wall column 30 and the supporting base 32 for buffering against a displacement component in the horizontal direction of the lower end 30b of the through wall column 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
