CYLINDRICAL MOLDING DIE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CYLINDRICAL CERAMIC MOLDING USING THE SAME
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical molding die with which a high-quality cylindrical ceramic molding having no defects such as cracks or significant deformation can be manufactured in an industrial scale, and a method for manufacturing a cylindrical ceramic molding by a cold isostatic press (CIP) process using the above molding die.SOLUTION: A cylindrical molding die 1 includes: a columnar core rod 2 made of a hard material; a cylindrical mold form 3 made of an elastic material 10 and coaxially disposed outside the core rod; a pair of cap bodies 4a, 4b made of an elastic material and supporting both ends of the core rod and the mold form at both ends in an axial direction; and at least one elastic support member 7 mounted on an outer circumferential surface of the mold form and supporting the mold form from the outside. The mold form and the cap bodies have hardness (JIS K6253) of 30° to 60° and a difference in the hardness between the mold form and the cap bodies is 10° or less. A cylindrical ceramic molding is press-molded by a CIP process using the above cylindrical molding die 1, and after the CIP molding, the pressure is reduced from 20 MPa to normal pressure while taking 10 to 40 minutes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
