PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bolt friction joint structure capable of attaining a high slip coefficient on a joint surface subjected to friction joint, with a thin steel material having a board thickness less than 6 mm as an object.SOLUTION: A bolt friction joint structure 1 applied to this invention is for subjecting a plurality of steel materials 6 to friction joint, and includes: a plating steel material 2 in which plating treatment has been executed on a joint surface 20 subjected to friction joint; and a bolt 5 inserted into a bolt insertion hole 21 penetrating the plating steel material 2 in a plate thickness direction X. The plating steel material 2 has at least one base material 3 having a thickness t1 less than 6.0 mm, and a plating layer 4 formed in a base material surface 3a of the base material 3 on the joint surface 20. The Vickers hardness of a plating surface 4a of the plating layer 4 in a state where the base material 3 and the plating layer 4 are overlapped is made larger than the Vickers hardness of the base material surface 3a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
