To provide a high-strength bolt friction joint structure that can improve a sliding coefficient.SOLUTION: A high-strength friction joint structure FS is a high-strength bolt friction joint structure in which a plurality of plated steel members (first plated steel member 20, second plated steel member 26) having plated surfaces and bolt holes are frictionally joined by high-strength bolts 34, nuts 36, and washers, and in an area where the plated steel members are overlapped, a separation distance from the bolt hole edge along the radial direction of the bolt hole is {(D-d)/2+t}mm or more (where D: diameter of the washer [mm], d: diameter of the bolt hole [mm], t: thickness of the plated steel on the side contacting the washer [mm]). And a friction auxiliary layer is provided which is provided over the plated portion within a range where gap between surfaces facing each other of the plated steel is between 10 μm or more and 600 μm or less, and has a compound containing a component derived from a metal constituting the plated portion of the plated steel and oxygen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
