METHOD FOR REMOVING SAND IN SEDIMENTATION BASIN
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing sand where the frequencies of operations and stops of a feed water pump and a sand lifting pump are reduced as much as possible and a usual inexpensive pump can be used.SOLUTION: In a method for removing sand being a low pressure sand collecting system where: the operation of a sand lifting pump is started when the water surface of a sedimentation basin reaches a high water level or higher; the operation of the sand lifting pump is stopped when the water surface of the sedimentation basin reaches a low water level; the water level of the sedimentation basin is kept in a drained state; low pressure water fed from a feed water pump is jetted from a nozzle to the bottom surface of the sedimentation basin; earth and sand accumulated on the bottom surface of the sedimentation basin are flown into a main trough and collected in a sand collecting pit; and the collected earth and sand are pumped up with water by the sand lifting pump, the high water level of the sedimentation basin is set between the highest point and the lowest point in the main trough.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
【課題】給水ポンプと揚砂ポンプの運転の開始と停止の頻度を可及的に少なくし、通常の安価なポンプの使用を可能にする除砂方法を提供する。【解決手段】沈砂池内の水面が高水位以上になったときに揚砂ポンプの運転を開始し、沈砂池内の水面が低水位になったときに前記揚砂ポンプの運転を停止して、前記沈砂池の水位を排水状態にし、給水ポンプから供給される低圧力水をノズルから沈砂池の底面に噴射して沈砂池の底面に堆積した土砂を主トラフに流し、さらに集砂ピットに集め、その集めた土砂を揚砂ポンプにより水と共に汲み上げる低圧集砂方式の除砂方法において、沈砂池の高水位を、主トラフの最高地点から最低地点までの間に設定した。【選択図】図8
