PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable moderate communication while protecting mutual privacy between households of two dwelling unit adjacent to each other.SOLUTION: An apartment house (1) includes first and second dwelling units (11 and 12) which adjoin each other and in which dwelling spaces (20 and 30) of them are independently provided, respectively, and a common area (50) which is provided in a boundary part between the first and second dwelling units (11 and 12) and which can be shared by the households of the respective dwelling units (11 and 12).
