PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base-isolating method for an existing building, which cannot only achieve base isolation of the existing building but also provide other added values.SOLUTION: In a base-isolating method for an existing building, the existing building is base-isolated by installing a base-isolating device in the existing building. A base-isolating device installation story is a story having an equipment machine room for the existing building. Equipment machine-side work for renewing and renovating an equipment machine is executed in addition to building-side work for base-isolating the existing building.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
