MOLDING HEAT INSULATOR AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding heat insulator capable of suppressing reduction of heat insulation performance by gas and having long life at low cost.SOLUTION: There is provided a molding heat insulator having a carbon fiber sheet laminate 3 manufactured by laminating a plurality of carbon fiber sheets, and a carbon fiber sheet protective layer 1 arranged on an outermost surface layer of the molding heat insulator and having a fiber felt 2 by interlacing carbon fibers and a protective carbon layer consisting of carbonaceous coating a carbon fiber surface of the fiber felt 2, in which the bulk density of the carbon fiber sheet protective layer 1 is 0.3-1.5 g/cm, volume fraction of the carbon fibers of the carbon fiber sheet protective layer 1 is volume fraction of the carbon fibers of the carbon fiber sheet laminate 1 or more and 11-88%, thickness of the carbon fiber sheet protective layer 1 is 1-6 mm, bulk density of the carbon fiber sheet laminate 3 is 0.05-0.25 g/cmand volume fraction of the carbon fibers of the carbon fiber sheet laminate 3 is 3.0-15%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
