METHOD FOR PRODUCING CERAMIC-COATED FIBER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING CERAMIC-BASED COMPOSITE MATERIAL
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a ceramic-coated fiber and a method for producing a ceramic-based composite material that can reduce an oxygen content in a ceramic coating that coats a ceramic fiber.SOLUTION: A method for producing a ceramic-coated fiber includes: a solution preparation step for preparing a solution containing a first raw material, a second raw material that can react with the first raw material to produce first ceramic, and a reductant capable of reducing an oxygen content in the first ceramic; a fiber preparation step for preparing a ceramic fiber containing second ceramic or second ceramic raw material; a solution imparting step for imparting the solution to the ceramic fiber; a drying step for drying the solution imparted to the ceramic fiber, and forming an intermediate coating made of components in the solution around the ceramic fiber; and a heating step for heating the ceramic fiber and the intermediate coating, and forming a ceramic coating containing the first ceramic around the ceramic fiber.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
