PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently blocking a vacancy in a ceramic-based composite material.SOLUTION: A method for producing a ceramic-based composite material is provided that comprises: kneading aggregate powder containing SiC powder and a binder containing one or more selected from a thermoplastic resin and wax, thereby obtaining composition composed of the aggregate powder and the binder ; pressing the composition thereby obtaining sheets 9; alternately laminating fabrics 11 composed of reinforced fibers containing SiC fibers and the sheets 9; pressing a laminate 13 of the fabrics 11 and the sheets 9; and generating a matrix which binds the reinforced fibers together.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
