PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card reader which prevents a front case body from falling relative to a rear case body.SOLUTION: A card reader 1 has a body part 10 installed on an outer wall surface of a door which is locked or unlocked by an electric lock. The body part 10 has a card reading part 20 which reads information recorded in a card medium on a front surface. The body part 10 has: a front case body 11 having the card reading part 20; and a rear case body 12 attached to the wall surface. The front case body 11 has: a hook part 32 which hooks on the rear case body 12; and an engagement claw part 33 which engages with the rear case body 12. Further, the front case body 11 also has a screw insertion part 34b, into which a fixing screw 13 for fixing to the rear case body 12 is inserted, on a lower surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
