ROAD SURFACE SIGN BODY AND ROAD SURFACE SIGN
To provide a road surface sign which a bicycle can comfortably travel over.SOLUTION: A road surface sign body to be installed on a road surface over which a bicycle and a motor vehicle can travel is provided with a bicycle area mainly at one end side where the bicycle travels and a motor vehicle area mainly on the other end side where the motor vehicle travels, for both ends in the width direction perpendicular to the direction of travel of the vehicles. The thickness of the bicycle area is set to be smaller than the motor vehicle area. Since the thickness of the bicycle area is smaller than that of the motor vehicle area, vibrations transmitted to the bicycle passing over the bicycle area are suppressed, allowing the bicycle to travel more comfortably. Further, since the thickness of the bicycle area is smaller than that of the motor vehicle area, a greater vibration is transmitted when the bicycle travels over the vehicle area. Thus a bicycle rider can be expected to be encouraged to travel over the bicycle area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】自転車がその上を快適に走行できる路面標示を提供する。【解決手段】自転車及び自動車が通行可能な道路路面に設置させる路面標示体において、車両の進行方向に対して垂直な幅方向の両端のうち、主に自転車が走行する一端側に自転車向け領域を設けると共に、主に車両が走行する他端側に自動車向け領域を設け、前記自転車向け領域の厚みを前記自動車向け領域よりも小さく設ける。前記自転車向け領域の厚みを前記自動車向け領域よりも小さく設けるので、この自転車向け領域の上を通過する自転車へ与えられる振動が抑制され、自転車がより快適に走行できる。また、前記自転車向け領域の厚みが前記自動車向け領域よりも小さく設けるので、自転車が前記自動車向け領域の上を通過するときにより大きな振動が与えられることとなり、自転車の運転者に前記自転車向け領域の上を走行するよう促す効果が期待できる。【選択図】 図2
