ROAD SURFACE SIGN
To resolve or alleviate the problem of travel or approach that violates traffic regulations.SOLUTION: A road surface sign according to an aspect of the present disclosure is provided with a sign portion formed by using a sign material in a section from a first point to a second point along a first direction of the road surface. The sign portion includes an optical illusion-inducing figure for making the sign portion look like a three-dimensional figure to a passerby. The optical illusion-inducing figure includes a first outer edge and a second outer edge, each extending along a first direction of the road surface. The distance between the first outer edge and the second outer edge gradually decreases in the direction from the first point toward the second point. The optical illusion-inducing figure makes the sign portion visually recognized as a three-dimensional figure by a first person traveling in the opposite direction from the second point toward the first point on the road surface. The sign portion is not visibly recognized as a three-dimensional figure by a second person traveling in the forward direction from the first point toward the second point on the road surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
