To provide a parking lot operation method and a parking system which are useful for parking a vehicle with automatic driving function.SOLUTION: A parking lot operation method includes: confirming an incoming vehicle, which runs automatic-parking mode, having exited a drop-off area 60 and traveling in a travel space 52; confirming the incoming vehicle, which runs automatic-parking mode, moving from the travel space 52 to a parking space 51; confirming an outgoing vehicle, which runs automatic-parking mode, moving from the parking space 51 to the travel space 52; confirming the outgoing vehicle, which runs automatic-parking mode, moving through the travel space 52 to a boarding area 70; and confirming, after the outgoing vehicle, which runs automatic-parking mode, enters the boarding area 70 and stops, a driver getting in the outgoing vehicle in the boarding area 70 and exiting the boarding area 70.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
