To provide a structural material further simply and further inexpensively connectable with a further excellent external appearance in a further short time, only by a general-purpose material and a machine or a tool.SOLUTION: A structural material 10 includes a plate material 20 formed of a woody material and a hollow metallic cylinder 41 of opening the bottom. The plate material is formed with a columnar first hole 21 of opening the bottom surface side on a surface and a reverse surface of the plate material and a linear second hole 22 communicating with a side surface of the plate material from a side surface of the columnar first hole. The cylinder is formed as an outer diameter corresponding to an inner diameter of the first hole, and is inserted into the first hole of the plate material.
