To provide a steel plate floor manufacturing method capable of suppressing a fatigue crack starting from a weld root part of a steel plate floor.SOLUTION: A steel plate floor manufacturing method is a manufacturing method for a steel plate floor formed by welding a rib 3 to a steel plate 2. The steel plate 2 has a groove 14 on a surface 4 opposite to the side to which the rib 3 is welded. The steel plate floor manufacturing method includes: a step of abutting both ends 11 of the rib 3 on the steel plate 2 and welding; and a step of filling the groove 14 of the steel plate with a weld metal by build-up welding.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
