To provide a new sound absorption material which has similar sound absorption characteristics while having a design feeling different from a conventional sound absorption material, has a small number of components, and has a simple structure.SOLUTION: By mounting a wooden surface decorative material 2 covering a front surface of a sound absorption base material 1 formed of a porous synthetic resin material onto a front surface of the sound absorption base material 1, a peak frequency of a sound absorption rate is shifted to a low sound side than a single sound absorption base material 1. The surface decorative material 2 has a large number of openings 2a and 2b so that opening rates are 20-60%, and a design pattern can be expressed by the large number of openings 2a and 2b as a whole. A comparatively high sound is easy to be absorbed in the sound absorption base material 1 by the existence of the openings, and the comparatively low sound is absorbed by the surface decorative material 2 having rigidity, which can shift the sound absorption characteristics as a whole of the sound absorption material can be shifted to the low sound side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】従来の吸音材とは異なる意匠感を有しつつも同様の吸音特性を有し、且つ、部品点数も少なく構造も簡素な新規な吸音材を提供する。【解決手段】多孔質合成樹脂材料で形成された吸音母材1の前面に、吸音母材1の前面を覆う木製の表面装飾材2を取り付けることによって、吸音母材1単体よりも吸音率のピーク周波数を低音側にシフトさせる。表面装飾材2には、開口率が20〜60%となるように多数の開口部2a,2bが設けられ、この多数の開口部2a,2bによって全体として意匠的な模様が表されるようにすることができる。また、開口部の存在により比較的高い音が吸音母材1に吸収され易くなるとともに、剛性を有する表面装飾材2によって比較的低い音が吸収することで、吸音材全体としての吸音特性を低音側にシフトできる。【選択図】図2
