This invention relates to a fabric suitable for sound absorption applications consisting in whole or in part of a fibrillating fibre and which has been treated to develop fibrillation on the surface of the fabric, wherein this fabric has enhanced sound absorption properties. It also relates to the use of this fabric as well as to sound absorbing articles made using this fabric.
La présente invention concerne un tissu adapté à des applications d'absorption acoustique, et constitué en totalité ou en partie d'une fibre de fibrillation, et qui a été traité pour développer une fibrillation sur la surface du tissu, ledit tissu possédant des propriétés d'absorption acoustique améliorées. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation de ce tissu, ainsi que des articles d'absorption acoustique fabriqués à l'aide de ce tissu.
