To provide a construction method and a construction structure of a decorative material that can easily and inexpensively apply a decorative board to a desired position without impairing the design of the appearance.SOLUTION: The construction method comprises an adhesive application step of applying an adhesive 61 to a back surface 2 of a decorative board 50, an arrangement step of abutting the back surface 2 of the decorative board 50 on the inner wall surface W and arranging it at a desired installation position, a temporary fixing step of temporarily fixing the decorative board 50 so as not to be displaced from the installation position by driving a plurality of pin nails 62 into the at least one groove 3 from the surface side of the decorative board 50 so as to straddle the decorative board 50 and the inner wall surface W, and a curing step of curing the adhesive 61, which are performed in order. The decorative board 50 is fixed to the installation position of the inner wall surface W with the adhesive 61 and the pin nail 62.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
