To enhance fixing strength by effectively dispersing a load, in a joint metal in which shaft materials such as a column material and a horizontal member are joined with each other.SOLUTION: A joint metal includes: a base part 12 mounted at an end in the longer direction of a shaft material; and an insertion part 13 provided at a contact surface 12a coming into contact with an end surface of the shaft material in the base part 12, and extending in the longer direction of the shaft material. At the base part 12, at least one out of an insertion hole 12c for inserting a separate mounting member and a screw hole 12b in which the mounting member is screwed is provided. Also, the base part 12 is constituted by a plurality of support plates 14 disposed with an interval along the longer direction of the insertion part 13, and a separation holding part 15 extended from the insertion part 13 and for separating and holding between the holding plates 14 being integrated with the insertion part 13, in which a load applied to the insertion part 13 is dispersed into the plurality of support plates 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
