To provide a hood lock device capable of suppressing erroneous assembly even when an operation cable for a right handle or an operation cable for a left handle is mounted.SOLUTION: A latch 20 of a hood lock device 5 has a cable attaching part 25 and an engaging part 26 for releasing an engaged striker to release the lock by a rotation operation in either direction of a first direction or a second direction. The hood lock device 5 has a spring 21 which accumulates a force when the latch 20 is rotated in the first direction and the second direction and which releases the accumulated force after the rotation to return the latch 20 to a vertical state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】右ハンドル用の操作ケーブル、または、左ハンドル用の操作ケーブルが取付けられても、誤組付を抑制することができるフードロック装置を提供する。【解決手段】フードロック装置５のラッチ２０には、ケーブル取付部２５を有するとともに、第１方向、第２方向のいずれの方向への回転操作によっても、係合したストライカを解放してロックを解除する係合部２６を有する。フードロック装置５は、ラッチ２０の第１方向及び第２方向に回転時には蓄力され、回転後はその蓄力を解放してラッチ２０を鉛直状態に復帰させるスプリング２１を有している。【選択図】図１
