To provide a column member which does not need to increase a stress acting on the column member and design a structure, does not need special welding component quality management, suppresses brittle fracture of the column member using a cold molding square steel pipe and a welding part with a base plate and a diaphragm, and can enhance plastic deformation performance in a column base part and a beam-column joint of the column member.SOLUTION: In a column member having a column body formed of a cold molding square steel pipe and a base plate welded and joined to a column base part of the column body, at least one hole is provided on each of four corner parts of the cold molding square steel pipe so as to be brought into close contact with a welding toe-of-weld part with the base plate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】柱部材に作用する応力を割り増して構造物の設計を行う必要がなく、また特別な溶接部品質管理を必要とせずに、冷間成形角形鋼管を用いた柱部材とベースプレートやダイアフラムとの溶接部の脆性破断を抑制し、柱部材の柱脚部や柱梁接合部における塑性変形性能を高めることのできる柱部材を提供する。【解決手段】冷間成形角形鋼管からなる柱本体と、前記柱本体の柱脚部に溶接接合されたベースプレートとを有する柱部材において、前記冷間成形角形鋼管の四つの角部の各々に、前記ベースプレートとの溶接部止端部に近接するようにして、少なくとも一つの孔を設ける。【選択図】図1
