HOOD LOCK STRUCTURE FOR VEHICLE
To provide a technique for holding a release lever in an attitude of being avoided from the front of a vehicle in the state that a hood is closed.SOLUTION: A hood lock structure 1 for vehicle comprises a striker 3, and a latch mechanism 4. The latch mechanism comprises: a main latch 8 which locks a hood to a fully closed position; a sub latch 9 which holds the hood in a half-open position that is more open than the fully closed position; and a release lever 10 which releases engagement between the striker and the sub latch. The release lever is movable between a first attitude in which the release lever extends to the front of a vehicle and can release engagement between the striker and the sub latch, and a second attitude displaced or avoided to a rear side of the vehicle with respect to the first attitude, is so made as to be the first attitude when the hood is in the half-open position, and is so made as to be the second attitude when the hood is in the fully closed position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
