IMPROVEMENT STRUCTURE AND IMPROVEMENT METHOD OF EXISTING SHEET PILE TYPE QUAY
To provide an improvement structure and an improvement method of an existing sheet pile type quay applicable to a case of land side work being restricted, and allowing arbitrary setting of an engagement position with an existing sheet pile wall.SOLUTION: The improvement structure of an existing sheet pile type quay comprises: multiple piles 3 installed on a water region side water bottom surface of the sheet pile wall 23 in an existing sheet pile type quay; a skeleton structure 5 having pile head connection parts 11 connecting heads of the multiple piles 3 and multiple vertical members 13 provided to stand up from the pile head connection parts 11; a horizontal member 7 continuously mounted to the vertical members 13 in the width direction of the sheet pile wall 23; and horizontal force transmission members 9 arranged in gaps continuously or intermittently formed between the horizontal member 7 and the sheet pile wall 23 and transmitting the horizontal force received from the sheet pile wall 23 to the horizontal member 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
