EXISTING-QUAY-IMPROVED STRUCTURE AND IMPROVEMENT METHOD
To provide an existing-quay-improved structure with enhanced earthquake resistance, specifically, made capable of coping with the case with severe bending moment at the pier pile head, that is, the case with the superstructure shaking excessively, as well as, made applicable to the case requiring earth retaining reinforcement.SOLUTION: An existing-quay-improved structure 1 is obtained by improving an existing quay of a type in which a superstructure 5 is supported by support piles 3 driven into a submerged ground 2. The existing-quay-improved structure 1 comprises: a sheet pile wall 7 that is newly installed, under a water surface, separated a predetermined distance away toward a water-area side from directly under a water-area-side end of the superstructure 5, so as to protrude from a water bottom surface in a quay normal direction; a raising material 9 for raising a water bottom surface constructed on a land side of the sheet pile wall 7; a plurality of piles 11 driven into the water bottom surface on a water-area side of the sheet pile wall 7; and a pile head connection structure 13 which is integrally connected with pile heads of the plurality of piles 11, and installed so as to touch the water-area side of sheet pile wall 7 to transmit only horizontal force from sheet pile wall 7 to the piles 11, and further has an upper surface installed so as to be at the same level as that of a water bottom surface level of a water area where ships berth.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】耐震性向上、すなわち桟橋杭頭の曲げモーメントが厳しい場合、つまり上部工が揺れすぎる場合に対応でき、かつ土留めの補強が必要な場合に適用できる既存岸壁の改良構造を得る。【解決手段】本発明に係る既存岸壁の改良構造1は、水底地盤2に打設された支持杭3によって上部工5を支持する形式の既存岸壁を改良した既存岸壁の改良構造1であって、上部工5の水域側端の直下から水域側へ所定距離はなれた水面下に、水底面よりも突出するように岸壁法線方向に新規設置した矢板壁7と、矢板壁7の陸側に施工された水底面の嵩上げを行う嵩上げ材9と、矢板壁7の水域側の水底面に打設された杭11と、杭11の杭頭部を連結一体化すると共に矢板壁7の水域側に接するように設けられて矢板壁7から水平力のみを杭11に伝達し、かつその上面が船舶が接岸する水底面と同じかそれよりも下方になるように設置された杭頭連結構造13とを備えた。【選択図】 図1
