To provide a duct construction method that can shorten the construction period of a building.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for constructing a vertical duct for building equipment in building construction work, including a step of lifting a duct unit 10 consisting of ducts 12 for at least one floor and having a connecting member 14 provided around the duct 12 and also serving as a flooring material receiving material to the installation floor during the construction of the steel frame of the building, a step of connecting the lifted duct unit 10 to a beam member 1 on the installation floor via the connecting member 14, a step of installing a flooring material 28 around the duct unit 10 via the connecting member 14 after that, and a step of connecting the lower end of the duct unit 10 on the upper floor and the upper end of the duct unit 10 on the lower floor with a connection duct 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
