To provide an apparatus for scraping an undried joining material protruding from a segment joined body in which side surfaces of columnar honeycomb structure segments are joined through the joining material.SOLUTION: An apparatus equipped with a scraping robot comprising at least one scraping spatula that is configured to be able to move in at least one scraping direction along a surface while pressing against at least one surface of an outer peripheral side, a first honeycomb-like end face and a second honeycomb-like end face of a segment joined body, wherein a pressing load of the scraping spatula on the at least one surface, an angle formed between the scraping spatula and the surface when the scraping spatula is pressed against the at least one surface, and a speed when the scraping spatula is moved in at least one scraping direction along the surface while being pressed against the at least one surface are configured to be controllable by a control part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
