To suppress deterioration of design caused by a sagging lift cord.SOLUTION: A solar shading device includes ladder cords 131, 132 hung from a head box and supporting a plurality of slats 160 and a bottom rail 150 at a bottom end, at least lift cords 141, 142 hung from the head box and connected to the bottom rail 150 at a bottom end for lifting/lowering the bottom rail 150, and a height adjustment device 1 fitted on the bottom rail 150 for adjusting a height position of the bottom rail 150, the height adjustment device 1 having a cylindrical winding shaft 30 that extends along a shaft line for winding the ladder cords 131, 132 and the lift cords 141, 142, the winding shaft 30 having a pair of hole parts 33, 34 that pierces through the winding shaft 30 in a direction intersecting the shaft line, and the ladder cord 130 and the lift cord 140 being engaged with the pair of hole parts 33, 34 and wound by the winding shaft 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
